New York trip, continued to be really in NY

The plane ride was easier back into the States was easier than the one over to England, though jet lag was beginning to set in as they flew up near where the cabin was. The horses were in the stable already, but they were driven up since there were more luggage to deal with this time for the longer stay.

Once the car left, and they were inside the place, Kate yawned, and hugged Will.

"Feel like anything? A nap?"

So he strokes her back,

"Shh, Kate, ye're safe."

She relaxed from the contact, and sighed as she shifted herself up to lean on her elbows.

"Well that was disturbing and weird at the same time. Brand was my fencing instructor, and I think you were doing the waltz with the demon while I was fighting. And she was eating my heart at the time too." She shook her head, and rubbed a hand over her face.

"Oh love, was just a dream. Shh, I'll go an make ye breakfast when ye're ready."

"That would be nice, did you already use the bathroom then?"

"Oh aye. What do ye wish to eat?"

"Hmm. Tea with some eggs and toast, also fruit and yogurt. I can find those two after I shower up, thanks."

She got up, and made her way out to the bathroom to freshen up.

She gets one more kiss as he goes into the kitchen and soon there's the smell of eggs.

He does know how to cook those, along with sausages and nothing is going to get burnt.

That's good, burnt food does kind of stink up a kitchen. In the meantime, she showered up, and it was several minutes later that she had a towel wrapped around her head while her long hair dried, and dressed in a short sleeved top with shorts and sneakers.

"Smells good, Will." She commented with a kiss to his cheek, and then headed over to the fridge to look for some fruit and yogurt. Berries were very fresh this time of year, also peaches.

Will had just pulled on some jeans and sneakers, he'll get a shirt soon,

"Should 'ope so."

She sliced up the peaches, and placed them in small bowls with some fruit. The yogurt would be on the side since she didn't know if he'd want any. It was a simple vanilla flavor.

"You're doing just fine, Will. Don't worry so much."

That makes him laugh,

"Aye, love, come 'ere an see if the eggs are 'ow ye like 'em."

"As long they're cooked through, they should be fine."

She kissed his cheek again, and grabbed some plates for him.

"They are."

He starts piling scrambled eggs and sausage onto the plate, there's definitely enough for them both,

"Toast should be in the toaster."

"Oh sausage too huh? All right." She went to grab the toast out of the toaster, and the slices lightly buttered before placing on a plate.

"Found 'em an they looked lovely an need a touch o'meat on the plate after all."

He sits down and grabs some toast as he kisses her on the lips.

"Not always, remind me to tell you about vegetarian and vegan cooking sometime." She grinned as she kissed him back.

"Tell me 'bout 'em now then, always glad to know more 'bout yer world."

She nibbled on some toast, and ate a few berries before responding with, "All right, basically it's cooking and meals that are meatless. Some people do it because of animal rights, or say they are. Some don't like meat, or have a hard time with it. Some do it for religious reasons, and some do it just to be healthy."

"But meat's so precious, 'ow can ye choose to na eat it? Mean 'eart it talked o'but doesna make sense to me."

Growing up hungry changes how you view eating.

"It's not that rare in my time, Will, or that expensive. It's mass produced now. As I said, some don't eat it simply because of their beliefs about life, and animals, and they don't want to kill."

He takes a rather large bit of sausage before talking again,

"Beliefs, like the monks an all?"

"Yes, like that. Just of another religion though. That's all." She stuck with her eggs and fruit for the time being, though she'll eventually have some sausage.

"Oh aye, guess sort o'makes sense."

He starts eating the cereal after putting some yogurt on it,

"'ave many o''em e'er known 'unger?"

Kate remarked, "Well, for those who do so for religious and cultural reasons, many of those countries are very poor. So yes, they know it well. But they wouldn't even consider some animals, and see them as sacred."

She added, "For those where it's more just a choice, no, many of them haven't."

Will just nods, he's still not sure what he thinks about that idea as he puts some of his eggs on the toast and munches on a sausage.
