Sep. 27th, 2010 09:51 pmIt was good to meet some of the newer people in the bar. At least it felt more familiar. Like the old days. Hard to believe she had been around long enough to consider this place having old days. And it had changed.
So had she, and some things hadn't changed for the better. She was trying to reach out to Will, not be so distant. But the times she had been away had opened a chasm between them, and she wasn't sure if she could cross, or even should now. Guppy said if they were to work or any kind of future, decisions would have made. She'd never want to take Will out of Sherwood.
But could she leave the city? Her home? Her friends and teammates?
She already knew the answer to that. Kate was just afraid to admit it.
She fingered the cross around her neck as she walked into the stables, carrying pieces of apple and carrot in her hand from the bar. The horse she usually borrowed gave a welcoming whinny and tossed her head. She fed her pieces of the treat, and grabbed a curry comb to groom her.
"I know, been too long."
