Kate opened the door. Room was as she left it. Mostly. Some things seemed a little out of place. A quick check confirmed her notes were still in the puzzle books.

She placed the box on the table, and went over to hug Will again. Breathing him in.

"It's been quiet. In here." She pointed to her head. "Don't know for how long, but it's not like before."

"Tis somethin' then."

"I think I might have locked it up or away somehow. Just for ..." Her head started to throb. "...now."

She grimaced and clutched at her head.

He puts down his mug and wraps her in his arms,

"Shh, just breathe."

It hurts so to see her like this but he doesn't know what he can do.

Her breathing had sped up, and there was dark swirling at the edge of the blue in her eyes.

Goawaygoawaygoaway... She clung to Will, her grip tightening almost painfully back on him.

"Keep me here."

"'ow, love?"

He takes her mug of tea away so he can hold her fully in his lap, so its just skin to skin.

"Hold me."

Just leave me alone! I didn't say anything!

The pain finally let up a minute later, and she hugged him back, sagging a little. Her breathing started to slow as she calmed down again.

"...Spoke too soon," she finally replied with a weak chuckle.

"Na lettin' ye go, na lettin' ye go."

Its comes out as a prayer as he holds her tightly and with all he has.

She hugged back tightly, and her head nestled against his shoulder again.

A few minutes later, she quietly added, "Sorry. Feel ok now. Really sorry for all of this."

He strokes his hand through her hair and down her back,

"Shh, ne'er 'pologize."

She started to relax again against him.
"Some of it's my fault. Couldn't keep things out forever. Especially not when I was there. He encouraged it."

"Aye, 'e wished for ye to change into someone ye're na. An tis na all yer fault, dinna be 'ard on yerself."

He keeps stroking her as he feels her relax.

"I gave in though."

She nuzzled him lightly as she settled in against him.

"Thought ye were doin' it to protect me an those ye loved. Ne'er know 'ow ye'll react an ye've done so much, me love. Forgive yerself an fight for now an tomorrow."

"I'm trying to protect you all right now." It was all a trap, and she didn't really see it until it was too late. Or something kept her from seeing it. Seemed like a cop out to blame it on some kind of magic, but it was starting to seem like the only explanation.

Her blue eyes blinked, and she yawned.

"Aye, I know, love, but let us protect ye too. Now sleep, I'll keep ye safe as ye dream."

He pulls the blankets up over them and makes sure she's comfortable in his arms.

She lifted her head and kissed him back soundly.

"Night Will." She then went to settle in against him again. But then peered up at him.

"You are getting some sleep too, tonight right? I'll knock you out if that's the only way you'll get some rest."

"Promise I will, love. Now dream sweetly."

He'll just wait until he's sure she's asleep and now he turns off the light.

"All right. Holding you to that." Small smile as she closed her eyes, and drifted off into sleep. Looked like tonight was going to be deep and restful.

He watches her sleep and once he's satisfied, no bad dreams will disturb her, he sleeps too.
