Several hours into the morning, in the fact, the sun was getting high in the sky out back when Kate finally started to wake up. Opening her eyes however, was a horrible idea since there was not so pleasant feeling like something was lancing through her eyeballs and into her brain when she tried. Her mouth tasted weird, and her head was beginning to pound.

"Oh no..." she groaned and rolled to the side, trying to retch some more covers from Will to cover her face.

Drinking the night before might be fun, but the morning after belongs to Hangover Time.

Will was already up and ate breakfast and even has water for her to drink as he gives her the covers.

She just groaned, and burrowed more into the covers, her legs and feet curling up against her.

"Water will 'elp."

A hand sleepily came out of the side of the covers. It flailed for a few minutes for the water.

Which he helpfully places in her hand,

"Drink up, tis some aspirin too."

There was a garbled gurgle that might be thank you or it might be ugh hangover or possibly not even English at all.

She finally sat enough to drink the water, and then take some aspirin. Then the glass was set on the table, and she burrowed under the covers again.

The shades are closed and he kisses what of her he can reach,

"Shall I read to ye then, love?"

A moment, and then a muffled reply.

"If you want." she did note the lighting change, and peek out of the blankets. Good, less lights. She sat up a litttle.

"Just tryin' to keep ye comfy, forget that ye're na as used to drinkin'."

"How can I be, Will? Most places back home would card me," she grumbled, and rubbed her head.

"Aye, course. I can get ye some bread, usually 'elps to settle things."

"That sounds good, with a little bit of marmalade?"

"Course, be right back."

He goes out the door and soon comes back with a tray with toast that has marmalade on the side and a pot of weak tea.

She sat up some more, and smoothed the bedspread down so it'd be easier to place items down.

"Have you eaten yet? Should have asked before."

"'ad some bread an cheese an tea, aye. Just been keepin' an eye out for ye was all."

The tray is made for resting on a bed so its easy enough to set it down and Bar provided food for both.

"Thanks, you don't have to baby me though. I'm a big girl... just one with a big headache right now." The aspirin was going to take an hour to kick in, as typical for medicine.

She poured out some tea, and slathered some marmalade on a slice of bread before chewing a corner thoughtfully and swallowing.

"Oh aye, I know just 'ad 'nough 'ango'ers meself to know it 'elps."

He might be moving a little slower, drank a good bit of whiskey with Bill, but he's more used to it though his hair still smells of rum.

Kate nodded, "Right. But I don't just mean this. Just don't do too much, ok?" She reached out to touch his cheek.

"I'll be ok. I'll get better, and..." Sniff, sniff. "and..." Sniff and a glance down at herself.

"I gotta shower, I can still smell the rum."

She grabbed a strand of her hair and sniffed it as well.

"Hmm... not there."

Will blushes and nods,

"Um aye, course, tisna ye, love. Went night fishin' with Bill last night, 'e 'ooked the squid an we ended up breakin' a barrel o'rum we'd fished out. Thought I'd got it out."

Cue the facepalming.

"Was sort o'fun 'xcept for breakin' the barrel an 'avin to run."

"Uh-huh." She shook his head. "Didn't he know about the squid? I don't remember even seeing any other kind of fish out there."

"Probably, just 'e was drunker an wanted to fish. Were talkin' 'bout the future an 'ow scary knowin' it can be."

"Why did one of his future kids show up too?" She's still a bit weirded out by it.
