The door was opened to Sherwood, Will's Sherwood, and she already had her hood up on her cloak. She shouldered her belongings, and her blue eyes flickered up toward the raindrops coming through the tree leaves. She stood still for a moment, and just breathed in the scents of the forest. Willing her breathing to calm and slow.

As they approach Will lets go of Kate's hand so he can make a sound like a robin. A tired woman opens the door and smiles at them,
"Good day, Will my lad, an yer lady. There's warmth an dry 'ere an Tom's wishin' 'e could go play."

"Brought ye a basket an glad Tom's doin' so well. 'rhaps can play with 'im since its too wet to go out anyway."
That just makes Will laugh and as they're lead inside a little boy sits in the small bed and grins,
"Will, Will, I'm all better, Will. Tuck must tell Mum that I can play now. Who's the lovely lass. Are ye goin' to marry 'er?"
"Aye, lad, someday an sure I'll tell Tuck but dinna believe ye just yet could be foolin' me wiht yer rosy cheeks an all."

"Try to be, Mum says I should be cause um cause um.."
He looks at Will with a pleading gaze,
"Cause that way ye'll find a lass who's a true Lady like Marian."

"Oh some broth, thank ye, Will. Gettin' colder."
"Oh aye, tis an this is Kate. Think Tom might like one o'those pastries near the bottom, should still be warm."
He gestures towards one chocolate croissant that got in there somehow.

"Come help me unpack all the wonderful things in here, dear an tell me 'ow ye met that foolish boy."
Will and Tom are currently talking and clearly plotting something over by the bed.

"I was traveling, and I got lost, unsure of where I was. Will came across me and helped me. We talked at times after that, and then when that flu was passing through... he got sick. I all but sat on him to keep him in bed at times, and looked after him."

Soon Tom and Will start singing is fairly decent harmony, a serenade to the two women.

Kate glanced up at the music, and tucked some hair behind her ear.
"Romantic dork," she muttered softly to herself with amusement.

"Think 'e likes ye, love." His mother just smiles at them,
"Now dinna stay too long ye two, na that I dinna wish to 'ave ye 'ere but Sheriff's gotten to sendin' guards round just in case someone's round."
Will nods and ruffles Tom's hair before bowing,
"Ye know 'ow to find if tis aught we can do."
Mother and son smile at them as Will opens the door and it starts raining again.
