The door was opened to Sherwood, Will's Sherwood, and she already had her hood up on her cloak. She shouldered her belongings, and her blue eyes flickered up toward the raindrops coming through the tree leaves. She stood still for a moment, and just breathed in the scents of the forest. Willing her breathing to calm and slow.

"See who needs help? Being a tourist gets old anyway."

"Always someone needin' aid 'ere."

He pulls her into a good strong hug,

"Love ye, Kate."

"Well I want to help here too. With you."

She hugged him back.

"I love you, Will."

"Aye, I know, love. Forgive me for bein' foolish just wish ye to be safe an well an yerself."

"Will? I am myself. It's me. No one else is here."

She touched his cheek.

"I promise."

Even as a brief thought popped into her head.

Tick tock. She didn't tense, or reveal anything on her face though. Slight tension around the eyes, and that's all.

"Just me, and I can defend myself."

"Aye, I know. Just worryin' more than I should."

Her face softened, and she kissed his forehead, and then his mouth for a moment.

"You usually do. Kind of sweet though."

"Love ye so much an 'ate seein' ye 'urt is all."

"I know, I'm fine now." She smiled and kissed him again.

He kisses her gently and wish quiet passion before stroking her face,

"If ye're e'er na, tell me."

"I will. I mean it. No more hiding."

"Thank ye."

Then he shivers slightly, the fire has died down and the cottage has become a little chilly.

She hugged him, and rubbed his arms.

"Should cover up more."

"Oh aye, clothes are 'bout 'ere somewhere. 'rhaps they're drier."

"Hope so, otherwise I guess we should go back and get some drier ones. ......Though it means putting wet clothes back on when we do. Not like we can just run through the bar naked."

"Nay."

He gets up, giving her a kiss on the forehead. Since their clothing was scattered about its not that dry,

"Should probably 'ead back since tis rather wet."

Kate got up, and started to fetch her clothing.

"Guess so."

He comes behind her and rubs her shoulders before hugging her,

"God, I love ye so much, Kate."

She hugged him back.

"Love you. Hey, you ok? Worried about the tax?"

"Aye, nay, just all sorts o'things, 'urt to see ye 'urtin' so yesterday."

"I know. I was just more mad than anything. Got to me too much. It's all been too much."

Kate added, "I need to go home for a while... Maybe a long while."

"Oh aye, can understand that. Do ye still wish to aid with the tax?"

He's holding her just a bit tighter as he rubs the ring on her finger.

She hugged him back, and rested her head on his shoulder, "Of course, I'll be here for that. But after it's over... I'm going home. It's senior year Will. I have a lot of work to do, and patrolling when I can."

"Aye, I know."

He hugs her once more and pulls his hose and shirt off the floor. They're rather clammy as he pulls them on, but he's not sure what to say. He does understand just wishes that things were simpler.

"You'll be able to focus on Sherwood more." She shivered slightly as she got dressed since brrr, wet and cold clothing.
