The weather held the promise of winter, but not the bite that had been present in the bar and the forests of Sherwood. This still was the transition of fall into winter so the warm clothing was a necessity.

And yet, one could be hard pressed to tell in the blue skies overhead and above the now decorated and lit up skyscrapers and buildings of Manhattan. People were bustling every which way as Kate walked along with Will.

"Did some re-decorating for the holidays inside. Well the holidays still going around here, you know what I mean." She remarked as their steps lead them to an older building. One of the many converted factory buildings that real estate developers love snatching up to create high end loft space. The apartment itself now had lights and a tree in one corner.

He smiles at the lights and happily sinks into one of the comfortable chairs she has,

"Looks lovely."

[nothawkingbird.livejournal.com]

"Thanks. You want to order Chinese later?" She remarked as she went to grab some of her books out. There was a scrabbling sound before Sparrow woke up, and immediately made a beeline for the couch, tail wagging excitedly.

[will_scarlett]

"Oh aye. Good to see ye, Sparrow lad."

Will oofs and winces slightly as Sparrow jumps on him so he can get proper scritches.

Kate went to put some water on for tea before returning to sit next to Will.

"Sparrow, behave!" She admonished the terrier as she flopped down on the couch next to Will.

"You ok?"

[will_scarlett]

"Aye, aye, naught that bad, cold gets to me scars is all."

[nothawkingbird.livejournal.com]

She reached over to rub his arms a little.

"Well, if you need help getting warmed up..." Small smirk.

[will_scarlett]

"Aye, ye know I'll ne'er refuse to be warmed by ye, me love."

[nothawkingbird.livejournal.com]

"I know," She grinned, before leaning closer to kiss. The water kettle will be whistling soon enough, but no reason not to linger here for a few more minutes.

[will_scarlett]

There's always time to linger in kisses and he shifts her so she's almost in his lap.

[nothawkingbird.livejournal.com]

Sparrow was annoyed by being crowded out, so he gave a yip before jumping down to find another place to curl up.

In the meantime, Kate moved closer, her arms looping around his shoulders.

[will_scarlett]

The kettle whistles just as Will starts kissing down Kate's neck,

"Mm, tea's goin'."

[nothawkingbird.livejournal.com]

"Tea's got lousy timing," She murmured as her head gently tilted to the side. Kate then sighed, and gently backed away.

"Have to pause this," and she leaned in for one more quick kiss before she could get up.

[will_scarlett]

He gets up to follow her into the kitchen and wraps his arms around her waist while she pours the tea,

"Glad ye're mine."

[nothawkingbird.livejournal.com]

Her smile widened at that, gently leaning her head back.

"Glad you're mine," she echoed before offering him one of the mugs.

[will_scarlett]

"'rhaps we'll na go out this eve then."

The mug is nice and warm and he kisses her gently when he takes it.

[nothawkingbird.livejournal.com]

She grinned, "Well offer to have Chinese delivered here still stands."

She sipped her tea thoughtfully and commented, "Still hard to see the city like this except once a year. When it's all lit up and decorated I mean."

[will_scarlett]

"Aye, then should go out in it. Know 'ow much ye love yer city."

[nothawkingbird.livejournal.com]

"It's home," She simply said.

"Just need a little bit to get ready, and we can go back out." Make sure Sparrow's set, and finish their tea.

[will_scarlett]

"Aye, should I dress up or na?"

[nothawkingbird.livejournal.com]

"Not too dressed up. We're mostly going to be walking around and taking taxis."

[will_scarlett]

Will's currently in jeans and a button up shirt with a green sweater over it that Kate found for him,

"Then will be ready when ye are, love."

[nothawkingbird.livejournal.com]

"Ok, I just need to walk Sparrow and then we can go. Want to come out, or wait here?"

[will_scarlett]

"Come with ye, o'course."

[nothawkingbird.livejournal.com]

She grinned, and went to grab her coat. She tossed the leash to Will, "Can you hook him up, thanks? Sparrow, time for a walk!"

The terrier came skittering out of the living room moments later, tail wagging so fast it looked like his whole backside was moving.

[will_scarlett]

Will laughed and put the leash on Sparrow,

"Come on, lad, let's 'ead out."

Then Will grabbed his own jacket so the ycould go.
