Civil War: Prison Break and One Last Battle

She kept Will's hand closely linked in hers as she opened the door to a place that was full of metal, and underground. Realizing how strange and disturbing it must look to the medieval man with dark memories she squeezed his hand a little tighter. Looked quiet enough around this hallway at least for the time being as she walked along in her Hawkeye costume. Her boots making slight noise against the tiled floor.

"Need to find a place you can hide until I can introduced you to Cap. At least my teammates can vouch for you now as well. Everybody's really nervous with the plans to get into the prison now."

Will doesn't put his hand on his sword hilt, he's proud of that fact though his grin at Speed isn't a terribly nice one,

"Oh aye, tis, goes with my name, useful that way."

Kate glared at them both for acting up, but Eli then remarked, "Tommy, knock it off. Save it for when we leave."

Kate added, "Exactly, worry about helping us save your brother."

Tommy snorted at that, "*He* says he's my brother, I think he's just some dweeb who copied my face. Which is a good one to copy, sure." Preening a little. Hothead, and slightly vain, with pale hair, gee, bet that seems familiar to Will.

Kate was just facepalming again.

Will shifts a bit, looking older and bit angrier,

"Oh aye an ye wouldna save 'im if 'e wasna yer brother?"

Since the resemblance to Draco just makes Will think of that conceited wizard who did everything for his own gains.

Kate placed a firm hand on Will's hand.

"Easy, Will."

Tommy snorted, "I never said I wouldn't save him. Jeez, aren't you uptight? I signed up on this like everybody else, but I can call him whatever I want."

Eli just gave Kate a look like, 'You deal with this, I'm tired of his crap.' And he walked back over to sit down next to Vision.

Kate then said, "Tommy, could you excuse us for a moment."

"Why, for a quickie?"

"Tommy?" Kate glared at him angrily, "If you want to be able to help, you will sit down right now, and SHUT UP."

"Ok, ok, I'm going. Man you used to be more fun." And he zipped back over to sit down at the table too.

"Forgive me, Tommy, misunderstood ye."

See its an apology and Will takes a long breath trying to relax, he was hoping things would be easier since they would be fighting beside each other.

Kate then took him off to the side, and lowered her voice.

"Sorry about that. I think he's still adjusting to being out in public again. That or likely this prison scares him more than any of us. That's where we found him after all. He accidentally had blown up his school after manifesting his powers, and they sent him to juvie. Juvenile hall, it's like jail for people our age or younger. It's not quite as bad as the ones for adults... well, so we thought." She paused for a moment.

Will rubs at his wrist,

"Aye, changes ye. Promise I'll be good."

Then lifts a hand to stroke her face,

"We'll get through this, love, an get e'eryone out safe."

"I know we will," She nodded, but then placed her hand over his on her cheek.

"There's more. Because of his powers, that place? They tested him, did experiments. Trying to turn him into a weapon. We had to stop him from exploding the guards and doctors when we broke him out there to help us save Teddy. He did end up choosing to be something better than that, and he's a part of the team as much as the rest of us."

There's a darkness in Will's eyes before he speaks as he remembers shooting the man who tortured Atton and how he still doesn't know who held the whip,

"Aye, changes ye."

"It does. All of us had pain in our lives, none of us are different really." Her thumb lightly stroked along his hand.

He turns to kiss her hand on his face,

"Just 'ave to stand together an 'member na one is alone."
