Kate opened the door. Room was as she left it. Mostly. Some things seemed a little out of place. A quick check confirmed her notes were still in the puzzle books.

She placed the box on the table, and went over to hug Will again. Breathing him in.

"Or can just stay 'ere. I'm 'ere to listen whene'er, love. 'ere, I'll make us some chai, ye stay there."

He gives her a kiss and another hug before standing up and getting the kettle boiling and coming back to stroke her hair.

"I don't know what I can talk about anymore. What's safe."

"Then dinna 'ave to talk. I trust ye, Kate, an love ye an will do all I can for ye."

She wanted to say that he shouldn't trust her. Even though that other self's been quiet for a while. Couldn't even hear her in her head these days.

Could be good, could be bad.

"The party will be nice. Wish there was some place to go. How's Sherwood been?"

"Quiet for a time."

No matter how often she might say, he's not going to stop trusting her, he loves her too much.

"Good. You all need it."

The kettle starts whistling and he kisses her again and goes to pour out the water,

"Aye, we all do."

She sighed, "The one time I think having a memory like mine stinks. I don't want to forget everything like what happened to you. But maybe just pick key things... like that time away in that place with Branden."

"'ave to take more time on the good things is all."

He reaches out to gently touch the necklace that's back around her neck.

Her hand went to touch the pendent. Felt so odd without that weight on her neck for weeks.

She leaned forward to kiss him again, her hands coming up on either side to cradle his face.

He moves into her kiss and kisses her cheeks,

"Tea's probably ready."

Her fingers traced his jawline.

"All right, thank you."

In a moment he returns with a mug for them each and settles beside her,

"Love ye, Kate."

"Love you too. Still do." She reassured him before sipping her tea after she had accepted it from him.

"Aye, I know."

"I won't always be like this. I can't, I won't let it. Once Branden's no longer a problem, things will get better."

"Know that too, ye're stronger than whate'er this is."

"It's been quiet. In here." She pointed to her head. "Don't know for how long, but it's not like before."

"Tis somethin' then."

"I think I might have locked it up or away somehow. Just for ..." Her head started to throb. "...now."

She grimaced and clutched at her head.

He puts down his mug and wraps her in his arms,

"Shh, just breathe."

It hurts so to see her like this but he doesn't know what he can do.

Her breathing had sped up, and there was dark swirling at the edge of the blue in her eyes.

Goawaygoawaygoaway... She clung to Will, her grip tightening almost painfully back on him.

"Keep me here."

"'ow, love?"

He takes her mug of tea away so he can hold her fully in his lap, so its just skin to skin.

"Hold me."

Just leave me alone! I didn't say anything!

The pain finally let up a minute later, and she hugged him back, sagging a little. Her breathing started to slow as she calmed down again.

"...Spoke too soon," she finally replied with a weak chuckle.

"Na lettin' ye go, na lettin' ye go."

Its comes out as a prayer as he holds her tightly and with all he has.
