After the confrontation with Brand, Kate had been in the infirmary, but there was little to be done there. Injuries for the most part were minimal, at least physically. All the trauma was on the mind and the soul, and that had been left very tattered after the demon was torn forcefully from her body. She had been so weakened that when the demon finally took full control, Kate's side had been flung aside and locked away. And now, that consciousness remained asleep, unaware still that its former roommate was gone. And with no active mind present to animate the body, the body breathed, the heart beat, and the body slept on, recovering. It was resting on Kate's bed in her room. Nothing to note the hours passing during the lengthy slumber.

He hasn't left her side since she's returned.

He knows the demon is gone now he just has to call her back, so he stays by her side, always there.

At times he sleeps and heals by her, other times he reads to her even though he's not sure she hears and sometimes he sings, quiet gentle songs of hope and Green life.

Sometimes there was movements on occasion as she laid there, eyelid flickering here, and a murmur there. But she continued to sleep on for now, still healing. In her mind, there were dreams of the Green, and nightmares of darkness.

When she has nightmares, he strokes her hair and sings to her trying to chase them away.

Slowly her mind started to re-emerge, little by little. The ties had faded away, and she noticed how quiet it was. Nobody else was here. Just her.

And then one day, she slowly blinked her blue eyes open. Completely blue now again.

When she wakes up, he's asleep on the bed beside her and mumbles something as he curls next to her.

She was staring at the ceiling like she hadn't seen it before, then her room with surprise and then she noticed the figure beside her. Slowly, very slowly she raised her hand to touch his hair.

He murmurs her name and pulls her close, it was a long night and he didn't sleep as long as she had bad dreams.

She stroked his hair, and then went to get up. Or try to. The muscles in her limbs had stiffened up from her lengthy sleep, and tingled with pin and needles as the circulation was being re-distributed more throughout her body. Her mouth felt too dry to speak yet.

When she wakes up he stirs and smiles and then frowns,

"Kate, what can I do?"

She managed to get herself up to a sitting position. She tried to speak but a rasping noise came out instead.

Kate then tried to pantomime drinking.

There's already a bottle of water and a glass sitting on the bedside table and pours her some.

He helps her drink it and rubs her arms and legs as she drinks to get the circulation going.

She sipped the water and drank it slowly. The rubbing helped and she felt the pins and needles sensations fading from her arms and legs.

She set down the glass and there was a faint, "Thank you. How long?."

Had to have been some days if she was like this.

"Most o'a week, take yer time. Felt like this after bein' captured. Ye're na to push yerself, aye."

He tries to sound stern but she's just his Kate and grins at her as he gets more water.

She just nodded, and accepted the water readily. It was hard to force herself to take sips rather than gulping it down. Only make herself sick that way. Right now, all the focus was on recovering. She couldn't even begin to think about recent events. Not yet.

He strokes her hair and gives her a kiss on the forehead,

"Ye're back an safe, na goin' anywhere, love. When ye're ready, can get ye some broth."

"It's all quiet. Just me." There was a small smile back at him, more real than anything she's done these past couple of months.

For that she gets a gentle kiss on the lips before he goes back to massaging her arms and legs,

"Wish for more water or wish to try bit o'broth?"

" A little broth." She needed to regain her strength again, but it would be easier to do so now she wasn't fighting anything.

He actually has a thermos ready just in case she woke up sooner and pours it into a mug.

The broth is one of Bar's specialties, packed full of lots of good things to get her healthy soon.

Like with the water, she was going to take her time and sip it down slowly. She did start to feel a little better with getting some nutrients again, and there was more color to her face from the heat of the soup.

As she drinks he stays beside her and rubs her back just watching over her,

"If ye wish, love, can run ye a bath."

She glanced down at herself, and took a cautionary sniff. And then sank down on the bed a little, her cheeks turning red.

" ...I think I need it." Nearly a week in bed does not do a body good in terms of BO.

Will wasn't thinking about that actually,

"Just thought would 'elp the stiffness was all."

Medieval boyfriend does have its perks at times,

"I'll get it goin'."

He gives her a kiss on the forehead before getting the water going.

"Oh. That too."

She's just gonna hide her blushing face under the covers nao ok?

Soon the bathroom is smelling of lots of scents, he decided to put in bubbles and oils and everything for her.

He comes out and pulls the covers up to smile at her,

"Why are ye 'idin', love?"
