Recovering, part 3

The street lead the pair out onto Park Avenue, around 71st. There were a lot of shops and restaurants along here by the look of the bustling shoppers in the summer heat, many with rain gear. It felt like the sky might open up anytime now. It was a main drag so there were plenty of cabs going along the streets to catch. But Kate was more focused on something other than the upscale boutiques and bistros.

"Oh, good, we're right near it. Come on, it's by the Park." She then tugged him along 71st.

He pulls on his when she does though doesn't put the hood up just yet,

"Oh aye, next one, promised ye me in a speedo after all."

"We can get a regular pair of swimming trunks for you too. Should have an extra one anyway."

"Well, aye an na sure wish anyone but ye to see me in those others."

The streets have been cleared off a good bit by the rain so the walk to the next store is nice. Its a funky menswear place with a vaguely rustic theme, the white porcelain deer's head make Will blink when they walk in.

"Hence the trunks are for public, speedos for private. Deal?" She smirked as she walked in the store calmly, and glanced for the swim wear section.

"Aye, deal."

The fake rusticity is confusing and Will pokes at a fur looking throw,

"Isna real."

"That? No, probably some kind of synthetic fur. A lot of places don't like using fur anymore with animal rights groups protesting against it. And it's unnecessary usually now."

She was still peering around, and found the swim wear area. Her hands reached out to rummage through the racks and hangers of clothing.

"Here we go. There's a good selection here."

He comes around to look,

"Oh aye, some pretty colors there just seems all so small. Animal rights?"

"Yes, it's complicated. Some people do so for good reason so animals aren't tortured or abused in some cases. Some go a bit overboard maybe? They consider animals comparable with people or even worth more. And that's not right either. Can ask for some books or articles when we get back if you're interested."

She held up one pair of simple green swimming trunks.

"Hmm, they're basic. What do you think?"

"I'll give 'em a try then, trust ye to pick out a few for me. Sounds sort o'odd, times I think I understand yer world, then get confused 'gain."

She grabbed a couple that looked promising. She'd head to the speedos area shortly.

Kate remarked, "Bigger world with a lot more people, and about 900 years more of history, Will. Of course it's confusing."

"Lucky I 'ave ye to share it with me."

Soft smile back at that, and she then went to grab a couple of green speedos as well. She pressed them to the pile he had, and nudged him to a dressing room.

"Here, you can go check there."

He moves to the dressing room and strips down and puts on one of the speedos first, feeling suddenly rather naked,

"Um, love, fits but dinna wish to come out."

"Oh don't be such a wuss, Will. Let me see." She went in to check up on him.

"It's looks.... oh, uh..."

She blinked and gaped a little as her mind was chiding, Ok, c'mon brain, don't short circuit now. Not like you haven't seen your boyfriend naked before.

Its rare that she's speechless which makes him blush even more which she see everywhere,

"Kate, say somethin'."

Kate tried to talk, but the only sounds she could make at the moment were along the lines of "Ha-buh-what..."

So she just pounced him with a kiss instead.

The kiss almost knocks him over so he holds her and kisses back.

It was an enthusiastic kiss, too. One that happily stated that she liked the look. A lot.

Finally he has to breathe and it feels odd wearing only this small piece of cloth while she's dressed,

"So guessin' we're gettin' this one?"

She exhaled slowly, and casually replied, "Oh... only if you want to."

"If makes ye act like that, aye. I'll try one o'the trunk ones then."

His grin is rather wicked as he gives her a kiss and goes to try another suit.

She huffed, "I'm fine. I was just thinking."

She did kiss him back, and watched him put on the trunks.

The trunks don't make him feel quite as naked and he grins at her,

"Oh aye, 'bout what?"

"That it's a good thing I can kick butt if any girl tries to hit on my boyfriend," She smirked back at him, and noticed that the trunks looked good too.

"Well, aye, course, ye're the only woman I'll e'er want. Like these, dinna feel quite so in the altogether."
